Roadmap
What we hope to build next, in roughly this order. Plans, not prophecies—meters are strict enough already.
Much of the earlier roadmap is now quietly doing its job: native Telugu and Gujarati, Roman transliteration, saved poems and backups, custom forms, Strong guides, and offline synonyms. The English rules, pronunciation data, stress parser, explicitly selected composer, perfect rhyme, and named forms are now built— without confusing stress with Guru and Laghu.
- ✓ M1 · English rules and corpus: the first meter families, controlled variations, and a reviewable public-domain golden corpus are complete.
- ✓ M2 · English pronunciation: a pinned compact offline stress dictionary preserves alternate readings and aligns spoken syllables with the writer's original spelling.
- ✓ M3 · English meter detection: the isolated engine supports iambic, trochaic, anapestic, and dactylic lines without pretending every poetic variation is a mistake.
- ✓ M4 · English composition: explicit English selection now adds subtle stress marks, feet, progress, confidence, stanza selection, and Ghost guides while leaving Indic startup and analysis untouched.
- ✓ M5 · English forms and rhyme: perfect end rhyme, rhyme schemes, blank verse, common measure, ballads, limericks, couplets, sonnets, and selected stanza forms are available as a separate advisory layer.
- ✓ M6 · English Ear v2: contextual alternate readings, family-aware meter scoring, guided forms, tap-to-correct stress, accentual beats, and labeled near or user-declared rhymes remain isolated behind English mode.
- M7 · Reviewed Indic rules: finish scholarly gates and family-aware guidance for the remaining provisional Kannada, Telugu, Gujarati, and Āryā-family rules.
- M8 · Android distribution: finish device, offline-update, file hand-off, accessibility, signing, and release-channel work for the existing wrapper.
- M9 · More traditions: add Indic scripts one at a time, then explore alliterative and syllabic English verse, historical pronunciation, and performance-aware custom forms.
- M10 · Optional infrastructure: investigate compressed or short analysis links and better Android file hand-off while keeping the plain, free, offline fallback.
Anonymous composition, user-owned backups, original Unicode text, and offline use stay part of the plan throughout. M7 is the next proposed milestone and waits for approval. The operating rule is pleasantly strict: Chandas itself must never need a paid cloud database or create cloud-storage charges.
